A mild intensity earthquake has jolted Assam on Monday evening at around 6:05 pm. The magnitude of the earthquake is 4.3 on the Richter scale.
As per the Regional Meteorology Department reports, the epicentre of the 4.3 magnitude earthquake was located in neighboring Bhutan.

It occurred at Latitude- 27.5 North and Longitude- 97.5 East at a depth of 10 km.
No damage to life and property has been reported so far.
The tremor was felt in Guwahati and nearby districts as per reports.
The earthquake has been felt amidst Durga Puja fervour.
It may be mentioned here that on October 3, a medium-intensity earthquake struck Manipur in the morning. As per reports, the epicentre of the earthquake was located 3 kilometers away from Lamlai in Manipur. According to reports, the impact of the quake was felt both in the Northeast Indian states as well as in neighboring country Myanmar.
