Minor boy stages his own Abduction in Udalguri

In what can be termed as a scene of a movie, a minor boy aged about 14-years stage his own abduction and demanded Rs 30000 from his father as ransom in Udalguri, Assam.

According to reports, the 14-year-old minor boy who is a resident of Udalguri’s Chamuagaon with the help of two friends “abducted” himself on November 26. He then made a call to his father and demanded a ransom of Rs 30000 for his own release.

His father immediately informed the police about the issue and accordingly the police laid a trap. The police asked the father to place the money as per the directions of the minor boys and just when the boys came to take the money, the police apprehended them.

On questioning, the boys revealed that the whole story was a plan made by the “abducted” minor boy. The boy brought the other boys in the plan by promising them a trip to Madhya Pradesh.

The police have registered a case against them and are carrying on with an investigation.
