Miscreants loot Rs 4.9 lakh from Woman in Guwahati

Guwahati, October 10, 2018:

A woman from Hajo was allegedly robbed by two miscreants on a motorcycle from the high security zone near the Gauhati High Court on Wednesday.

Police sources informed that the miscreants snatched the woman’s bag near the routine check post while she was coming out from a private bank after withdrawing the money.

As per her complaint, she withdrew about Rs 4.9 lakhs from a bank and was heading home. While on her way, she was robbed by two men on a motorcycle. She has filed an official complaint at the Latasil Police Station.

It may be mentioned that the area where the incident took place is a high security zone and many have termed the incident as a major security failure.
