Assam Government inaugurates schemes for farmers in Silchar

Guwahati, February 12, 2019:

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has launched some new schemes for the farmers in Silchar. Minister Parimal Suklabaidya officially inaugurated all the schemes in the presence of Cabinet Minister of Education Siddhartha Bhattacharya, who also attended the event. It is believed that these schemes will be of great help to farmers in the future.

It seems like at a time when the state is burning due to protests over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016, the Assam Government is trying to win over the farmer community with these developmental schemes which will seek to bring some much-needed relief to the ailing farmer community in the state.
