Guwahati, October 15, 2019:

The Assam Sangrami Mancha President Adip Phukan has alleged that the Narendra Modi-Amit Shah Government is hellbent on giving citizenship to illegal Bangladeshis in India by introducing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.

The Assam Sangrami Mancha states that 'anti-Assam' activities of Modi and Assam have compelled the organization to stage a protest at the Brindavan Garden at Zoo Road Tiniali in Guwahati city of Assam on 17 October, 2019.

Phukan has alleged that the Modi-Shah Government has no regards for the people of Assam, and have announced the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill after the NRC that was supposed to weed out illegals.

"This traitorous act of giving citizenshup to foreigners should not be allowed at any cost. On the other hand, the BJP Government is privatizing all the PSUs in Assam is is working for benefit of the rich corporations" Phukan alleged.

The Assam Agitation and Assam Accord birthed Numaligarh rifinery has also been privatized, and after destroying the economy, they have also resolved to destroy the local industries in the State through their conspiracies.
