Guwahati, December 10,2018:
Former Chief Minister
Tarun Gogoi on Monday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be solely
responsible for the RBI Governor Urjit Patel’s resignation.
Gogoi said, “This action
has been taken by Patel due to the interference of the government. There has
been a conflict between the government and the RBI as reported in media. RBI was in pressure to release large amount of
funds for the government.”
Gogoi added, “Modi is a
Prime Minister and all the major policies has to be taken by him, so naturally
as a leader he is responsible. Because of the Modi’s dictatorial policy , he interfares
not only in reserve bank, election commission but also in government indulged Judiciary
system. He wants to destroy all the established institutions of our
constitution.”
Gogoi further stated, “Due
to all these reasons the Congress has declared ‘Economic Emergency’ and the
situation is very bad and Prime Minister Modi has failed to run the country.
Modi has failed to take right decisions as everybody knows because of demonetization,
wrong implementation of GST how it has affected the economy. It has not only
been said by us politically but their economic advisor Arvind Subramaniam himself.
So today all the oppositions arej united to save the democracy and to save the
constitution.”
