TAMULPUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today halted his election rally speech here for a while to direct his medical team to attend to a person in the crowd who fainted due to reported dehydration.

Modi was midway through his lecture when he noticed a man collapsing in the crowd. He immediately stopped his speech and asked the team of doctors who were accompanying him to attend the person, whom the BJP has later on identified as Hari Charan Das in a tweet.

“A party worker seems to be in pain. He seems to be suffering from dehydration. The PMO medical team, please go and see the man,” Modi said.
