GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit election-bound Assam for a second time within a fortnight when he will land in Dhekiajuli of Sonitpur district on February 7 to launch several development schemes.
North East Democratic Alliance convenor and Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today took to Twitter to say: “#Assam excitedly awaits Hon PM Sri @narendramodi’s visit to Dhekiajuli on Feb 7, 2021. To oversee preparations, held a meeting with #BJP Karyakartas at Biswanath Chariali, along with Min @ranjitduttabjp, MoS @Pijush_hazarika, MP @pallablochandas & MLAs,” finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma twitted on Saturday.”
Modi will address a rally in Dhekiajuli and then virtually inaugurate construction work of Biswanath Chariali Medical College and Chairaideo Medical College. He will also launch the Asom Mala programme.

Sarma today held a discussion with several senior BJP leaders, Ranjit Dutta, Pijush Hazarika, Pallab Lochan Das, and party workers at Biswanath Chariali on details of the programme.
