Popular musician, Bikram Vicckey Goswami passed away last night in Mumbai.
Bikram Vicckey Goswami had worked with some of the biggest names of Bollywood including Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan.
Goswami was suffering from cancer as informed by the family members. He hailed from Tezpur in Assam.
The last rites will be performed in Mumbai. The popular musician is survived by his Thai wife Sandra Steppe Goswami. He left Assam in 1985 after completing his class X exams. He studied at the Wilson College in Mumbai. He continued practicing music and established as a musician.
Bikram also played musical instruments with Bhupen Hazarika. His mother Manju Baruah was one of the first artists to perform at the All India Radio in Guwahati. He was the first Assamese to win a Zee Cine Award as a background score for Salman Khan-starrer Tere Naam. He was one of the most sought after composers of the advertising industry, apart from composing background scores for mainstream films
Vicckey has won a RAPA Award, MTV awards, best advertisement film award at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and Best Jingle Award for an Audi A7 commercial.
He has done the background score for the films like Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha, Dil Maange More and Pa. He was the also composer of Idea Network’s signature tune and the Radio Mirchi signature track.
As per reports, Vicckey has composed a staggering more than 2,000 ad-jingles, including jingles for AirTel, Bajaj, Wonder Marbles, World Cup track, Pepsi, Audi, Wateen Network and Philips, and others.
