After the CBI special court gave out its verdict of life imprisonment to the NDFB Chief Ranjan Daimary and other nine cadres involved in the 30 October 2008 bomb blast case, the BTC land has witnessed an uprising against the verdict, with many of Daimary’s supporters, who hail him as a “freedom fighter” expressing their displeasure over the Court’s decision.
Questioning on the difference made in case of NDFB and United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), Anjali Daimary sister of Ranjan Daimary said that the separate Bodoland is a better choice since the tribal people have been always been ignored and discriminated.
It is to be mentioned that the NDFB, which has been designated by the Government of India as a terrorist outfit, has been demanding for a separate Bodoland from a long time back.
