NDFB-S Cadre Apprehended in Assam's Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar , June 19, 2019:

A trained lady cadre of Nationalist Democratic Front of Bodoland- Sangbijit (NDFB-S) was apprehended in village Samudisha no 3 after a joint operation was launched by the Army based on specific intelligence.

During early hours, search teams cordoned the location of suspected houses.

The suspected houses were searched and the team apprehended a lady cadre of NDFB (S) in the presence of lady police, from a suspected house.

The apprehended lady cadre was identified as Rishima Narzary, a resident of village Samudisha No 3, under the Ranikhata Police Station.

While searching the house of Rishima Narzary (locally trained NDFB-S cadre) a pistol, live ammunition and medicines were recovered.

The operation is a result of coordinated efforts of the security forces.

This is expected to be a major setback to the militants' group and has dealt a severe blow to the efforts in extortion and other anti-national activities of NDFB (S) cadres in the Kokrajhar & Chirang District.
