NDFB-S militant held

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 25, 2018:

The police have arrested one suspected cadre of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland - Saraigwra (NDFB-S) from Biswanath.

According to the police, the arrested person has been identified as Akash Ramchiary. He is suspected to be a cadre from the 3rd battalion of NDFB-S. One Chinese grenade was also recovered from his possession.

The police alleged that Akash was actively involved in extortion drives and recruitment of new cadres into the militant outfit.
