The National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Saoraigwra) or NDFB(S) has joined the peace process and signed a tripartite Suspension of Operations (SoO) Agreement with the central government.
NDFB(S) has also become a signatory to the proposed comprehensive Memorandum of Settlement with the Bodo organisations in order to accelerate the peace process.

The SoO agreement stated, “National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB), under the leadership of B Saoraigwra agreed to abjure violence, come overground and join the peace process by being a signatory to the proposed comprehensive Memorandum of Settlement with Bodo organisations.”
“Towards this objective, Government of India, Government of Assam and NDFB entered into a tripartite Soo agreement on January 16, 2020,” read the agreement further.

President, NDFB(S) B Saoraigwra, Commissioner & Secretary, Home & Political, Assam, Ashutosh Agnihotri and Joint Secretary (Northeast), Ministry of Home Affairs, Satyendra Garg signed the tripartite Suspension of Operations (SoO) Agreement.
Earlier, it was reported that the Indian Army had escorted 50 leaders and cadres of NDFB(S) on January 11 from Myanmar border to an undisclosed Army base amid protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).
