The 27th Assam NCC JD Coy, Sainik School at Goalpara recently carried out a Fit India Awareness cycling rally on the 13th of September as a part of the Fit India Movement.
The Fit India Movement is an initiative taken by the Govt. of India. The rally aimed at encouraging the cadets and staff to stay healthy and fit maintaining a healthy lifestyle and by including physical activities and sports in their daily lives.

Lt Col ADS Jasrotia, Officer Commanding of the NCC Coy and Vice Principal, Sainik School Goalpara flagged off the from the school campus and personally accompanied the team. A team of 30 volunteer cyclists including cadets, NCC staff and teaching staff covered a total distance of approx 40kms to and fro till Dudhnoi College, Dudhnoi to create awareness amongst the masses about the Fit India Movement.
The team was supported and accompanied by the school medical team and personnel from Mornoi police station.
After completion of the expedition, Lt Col Jasrotia complimented all the participants and further encouraged them to take such activities as a part of the regular routine and keep themselves fit.
