NF railway launched UTS Application

Guwahati, October 25, 2018:

The Northeast Frontier Railway on Thursday has launched an UTS App for online booking of unreserved tickets at the Divisional Railway Managers office in Tinsukia.

Paperless un-reserved journey tickets, platform tickets, season tickets can be booked through this appwhich is developed by the Centre for Railway Information System (CRIS), New Delhi and maintained by the IRCTC. The app also facilitates cashless transaction.

Several security features have been inbuilt in the app to curb fraudulent activities and to ensure privacy of the travelling passengers.

Tickets booked through UTS app are not transferable and have QR codes for the checking staff to ensure authenticity. Screen shot of the tickets cannot be taken. Journey tickets can be booked within 20 minutes away from the station and within 5km of journey commencing station for that geo fencing was carried out by the NF Railway. Moreover, tickets cannot be booked while travelling and the tickets can be purchased using Paytm and other mobile wallets.
