Nipon Goswami, Journalist Afrida Hussain Receive Top Honors at Prime NE Awards

Prime Northeast, a news web portal based in Guwahati celebrated its one year anniversary today.

Former Chief Minister Prafulla Kr Mahata was the chief guest of the event. On the other hand, veteran journalist Pranjal Phukan, Director of Nemcare hospital Dr. Hitesh Baruah, actress Shyamantika, Ananya Pasoni, and others also attended the star-studded event.

On the occasion, the web portal organized an award ceremony in which veteran film actor of the Assamese film industry, Nipon Goswami was awarded the 'Lifetime Achievement' award, and Editor-in-Chief of Inside Northeast, Afrida Hussain was awarded the “Xanbad Prahari Award.”

Nipon Goswami, while accepting the award, thanked the organizers, public and the media fraternity for their support.

Receiving the award on behalf of Afrida Hussain, her father Samsul Hussain said, “I am happy to receive the award on behalf of my daughter. Since she is out of town, she requested me to receive the award. I’m glad the Prime News has nominated and awarded her with the Xanbad Prahari Award.”
