An international standard North East Skill Centre (NESC) has been inaugurated by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in presence of Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, Mission Director of Assam Skill Development Mission (ADSM) Anand Prakash Tiwari and other high ranked officials at Gorchuk in Guwahati.
The centre has been established in collaboration with the ITE Education Services, Singapore and will operate under the agies of ADSM.
NESC aims at providing quality skill training facility in the state of Assam. It will train 400 candidates annually in Food & Beverage Service, Housekeeping, Retail Service and Beauty & Wellness. Candidates in the age group of 17 to 25 yrs and 10+2 passed or appeared shall be eligible for the course.
Apart from training, the candidates will also receive placement assistance upon successful completion of the training. NESC has already collaborated with leading industries in the four job roles.
