GUWAHATI: The daily express special train service between Guwahati and Naharlagun is all set to resumed from the first week of next month, stated Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR).
Taking to Twitter, the NFR informed that the decision has been taken for the benefit of the passengers especially the short distance travellers.
The Guwahati - Naharlagun express special (Train No. 05617 ) will set off daily w.e.f. 01-09-2021 from Guwahati at 21-20 hours to reach Naharlagun at 04-45 hours the next day.
While Naharlagun - Guwahati express special (Train No. 05618) will run from Naharlagun on a daily basis w.e.f. 02-09-2021 leaving from Naharlagun at 19-50 hours scheduled to reach its destination at 04:25 hours the next day.
The NFR has also taken the decision to run special trains between Agartala - Firozpur Cantonment and Naharlagun - Anand Vihar (T) Railway Stations with revised timings.
Recently, the NFR also held a meeting informing traders about various new schemes launched by railways for transportation of commodities in ecofriendly and cheaper way.
