Guwahati, July 25, 2019:

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall forecast for Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, and Kerala.

As per the forecast of the Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati, the north-eastern states are likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall for the next five days from July 25 to July 30 with moderate rains in between.

In Assam, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places from July 25 to July 20.

In Arunachal Pradesh, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places July 26, July 29 and on July 30.

In Meghalaya, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places for the next five days from July 25 to July 30 with moderate rains in between.

While, Nagaland, Manipur, and Tripura are also likely to experience heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places on July 26, July 29 and on July 30.

It is to be mentioned that the South-West Monsoon was 'Normal' with widespread rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh and fairly widespread rain in other two meteorological subdivisions of the North-Eastern Region during last 24 hours.

The current Synoptic Meteorological Analysis suggests that the Monsoon Trough at mean sea level passes through Ganganagar, Hisar, Agra, Sultanpur, Patna, Krishnanagar and thence southeastwards to Northwest Bay of Bengal extending up to 0.9 km above mean sea level.

Another Cyclonic Circulation over Northern parts of West Bengal and neighbourhood extending up to 7.6 km amsl tilting Southwest ward with height under influence of which a Low-Pressure Area is very likely to form over coastal of West Bengal and neighbourhood by tomorrow.
