'Not a single Indian will be excluded from the NRC': Harish Rawat

Guwahati, April 13, 2019:

Congress in-charge for Assam Harish Rawat expressing confidence of winning 10 seats out of 14 said that the voters of the North East are disgusted over Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government’s rule. He added that no single Indian will be excluded from the National Register of Citizen (NRC).

Addressing the media, Harish Rawat said, “People are disgusted with the decisions of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) towards North East. They have failed to fulfill the promises they made. They have even removed the special status from the North East.”

“The Congress will not let a single Indian to be excluded from the NRC. We have decided to give better wages to the tea garden workers and give ST status to the six indigenous communities which the BJP did not,” he added.
