NOVEMBER 17 CONCLAVE OF BENGALI ORGANIZATIONS CANCELLED

Guwahati, October 26, 2018:

The Bengali organizations have cancelled the November 17 conclave which was scheduled to be held in Guwahati.

The decision was taken after a meeting between the representatives of 26 Bengali organizations and the Axom Xahitya Xabha (AXX).

The meeting was presided over by AXX president Paramananada Rajbongshi.

It was also decided in the meeting that there would be a mega convention on the aegis of the AXX where all the Bengali and Assamese organization would be invited and their grievances heard.

The proposed conclave had created a rift between the Bengali and Assamese organizations.
