The Naga People’s Front’s (NPF) Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) has served a show-cause notice to two MPs of the state for voting in favor of Citizenship (Amendment) Bill turned Act in the Rajya Sabha.
The committee served the show-cause notice to MPs KG Kenye, MP Rajya Sabha, and Dr.Lorho S. Pfoze, MP Lok Sabha (Manipur), after a meeting on Thursday, where the DAC had decided to take action against two MPs for voting in favour of the Bill turned act.

MP KG Kenye is the lone MP from Nagaland who represented the state at Rajya Sabha and is presently serving as the Secretary-General of the NPF. On the other hand, Dr. Pfoze is the NPF’s representative to Lok Sabha for Outer Manipur constituency.
As per the show-cause notice, it is stated, “In total defiance of the Party’s ‘Resolutions’, you have voted in ‘Favour’ of the CAB/CAA 2019 on 12th December 2019 in the Lower House of Indian Parliament.”
The notice also said, “Therefore, you are directed to Show Cause as to why Disciplinary Action should not be initiated against you. You are further directed to submit your reply within 7 (Seven Days) from the date of issue of this Notice, i.e. on or before 26th December 2019.”

It may be mentioned that earlier MP KG Kenye was seen protesting outside the parliament in two sessions against the bill holding placards.
