OLA RIVER TAXI SERVICE LAUNCHED IN GUWAHATI

The Ola river taxi service was launched in Guwahati after an MoU was signed during the Global Investors Summit between Bengaluru based cab aggregator Ola and government of Assam.

The 15-20 seated taxis are likely to be run on two routes, one connecting both the banks of the Brahmaputra and another as a cruise. If it becomes successful, more river taxis are likely to be deployed. Though costlier, the river taxis will provide faster transportation.
