ONE ARRESTED IN ASSAM FOR KILLING LEOPARD

Jakhalabandha police has arrested one Lakhindar Chowtal from Sagmuthia Tea Estate in Nagaon district on charges of killing a leopard. According to the police, Lakhinder had killed the leopard by poisoning a cow. About one and half kgs of leopard meat, skin and skeleton were recovered from Lakhinder’s house. The market value of the same is said to be around 13 lakh in the gray market. Further interrogation is on.
