One killed, another injured in a road mishap in Assam’s Boko

BOKO: One person was killed, while another was seriously injured in a road accident at Boko in Kamrup district of Assam last night.

The deceased has been identified as Tapan Boro, a resident of Boko Ghilabari village, and the injured is identified as Ratul Daimary of Kukurmara village of Boko.

The incident took place on National Highway 16 at the Bandarpara area of Boko when an unidentified vehicle hit their bike, killing the biker on the spot. The speeding vehicle that hit the bike made good its escape.

Officials of Boko Police Station reached the spot and rushed the injured person to a primary health center. Later on, he was referred to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital for advanced treatment.

Investigation on the matter is under way.
