One person nabbed; contrabands recovered in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: One person has been arrested with his vehicle (Maruti alto) by the Bhangagarh police near the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) office and recovered 35 nos of illegal cough syrup bottles.

The accused has been identified as Sanu Mullah (28), a resident of Santipur, Singimari under Singimari police station in Dhubri.

Based on a specific information the bhangagarh police along with the crime branch, Guwahati today conducted a raid, when they arrested Sanu Mullah and after searching his vehicle, illegal cough syrup bottles were recovered.

The accused has also been arrested by crime branch and officials of paltanbazar police station in 2019.
