Opposition roars against Citizenship Bill in Vidhan Sabha Assembly session

Guwahati, January 28, 2019:

On the very first day of the Vidhan Sabha Assembly, the opposition took a strong stand against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The opposition made the stand at the middle of Governor Ramnath Kovind’s speech and protested against the Bill with the Assamese traditional ‘Gamucha’ on their shoulders.

The opposition members also held placards against the Bill and raised “Jai Aai Asom”.
