Over 75% of the electorate turned out to exercise their franchise in the 4 Constituencies of Assam -- Ratabari, Jania, Rangapara, and Sonari -- which went to the polls on Monday.
The average turnout figure in the four constituencies stood at 75.69% as of 7 pm.

As per reports, the elections went by peacefully with no incidents of violence.
The Constituency-wise polling percentage (till 7 pm) is as follows:
Jania: 79.08%
Rangapara: 77.80%
Ratabari: 74.37%
Sonari: 71.30%
The turnout in Sonari was likely affected by a huge storm that hit the region, forcing some of the voters to stay at home.
Moreover, some election glitches were also reported. Polling started at 7 am, and voters were seen queuing outside the booths to cast their franchise since early in the morning.
