it is Indian Railways endeavor to deliver as much LMO as possible in the shortest time possible to the requesting states.
Assam currently has 13 working oxygen plants producing approximately 70 metric tonnes of medical oxygen daily.
But due to a surge in COVID cases on daily basis and increasing demand for medical oxygens, 70 MT oxygen might not be sufficient to address the requirement in upcoming days.
The Oxygen Expresses started on April 24 in Maharashtra.
