Padma Hazarika vocal over kids using cooking vessels to cross river

Guwahati (Assam), September 26, 2018:

BJP MLA Padma Hazarika on Wednesday expressed deep concern over schoolchildren using large cooking vessels to cross the Ghiladhari river in Biswanath Chariali district.

He urged local MLA Promod Borthakur to ensure the construction of a bridge over the river for the ease and safety of people, including schoolchildren. Hazarika said he would soon discuss the matter with Borthakur.

Telecast of videos of the schoolchildren using cooking vessels to cross the river raised concern among people including Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
