A total of 1,88,943 people will vote in Kamrup (M) at the upcoming panchayat elections scheduled on December 5.
Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal speaking to the media said that the polling will be held from 7am to 3pm and from today onwards, no candidate can take out any sort of campaign. There are total 21 gaon panchayat and 256 total poling stations.
Sonaram School will be the station for counting of votes.
He informed that the election observer will be Kabita Deka and polling agent can be appointed by parties during the polls.
It may be mentioned that the administration has declared dry day declared from 3pm today till the completion of the electoral process.
A total of 1,88,943 people will vote on the elections and out of these 90,904 are male and 94,039 are female.
