Panchayat Polls | 77 non-ACS officers appointed as executive magistrate in Hailakandi

In an order issued to this effect on Tuesday by Personnel (A) Department, Government of Assam, the powers of executive magistrate have been conferred on the 77 non-ACS officers detailed as zonal and sector officers till the completion of the election process.

This has been done for smooth and hassle-free conduct of the election to 11 ZPMs, 62 APMs, 62 GPPs and 620 GPMs in the district. Hailakandi district has a total electorate of 3,87,132.
