Panchayat Polls | Man shot by police dies at the Hospital in Golaghat

Guwahati, December 5, 2018:

The person who was shot by police in Golaghat for allegedly attacking people with a dao died at the hospital.

The deceased, Gyanendra Rajkhowa was an ex-BSF jawan. He was said to be mentally challanged.

It may be mentioned that he was shot by the police for allegedly threatening voters with a dao at a polling station and also trying to attack the police in Golaghat’s Habichuk.

Gyanendra Rajkhowa came to the polling station with a dao and started to threaten the voters over reasons best known to him.
