Panchayat Polls | Police shoot Man with 'dao' in Golaghat

Guwahati, December 5, 2018:

A person in Golaghat was shot by the police for allegedly threatening voters with a dao at a polling station in Golaghat's Habichuk.

As per reports, the person identified as Gyanendra Rajkhowa came to the polling station with a dao and started to threaten the voters over reasons best known to him.

When the police tried to control him, he tried to attack the police personnel as well and unable to control the person, the police had to shot his knee to stop him from attacking.

The police took him to the hospital now and will later take detain him for question.
