PASSENGER DIES AFTER FALLING FROM TRAIN IN DIMA HASAO

Guwahati, October 29, 2018:

One Subrata Paul died after falling from a moving passenger train in Dima Hasao district of Assam.

The deceased travelling in the Silchar-Guwahati passenger train slipped at New Haflong Railway station and was dragged for about 20 metres.

Other passengers soon pulled the chain and stopped the train.

Though the man was lifted from the tracks, he succumbed to his injuries at the station.

The deceased hailed from Silchar town.

The body of the deceased has been sent to Haflong Civil Hospital for post mortem.
