DRISHYAM, a Guwahati-based socio-cultural organisation, staged a play on Kushal Konwar at Srimanta Sankerdeva Kalakshetra here on Wednesday.
Inaugurated by actor Pranjal Saikia and writer Shankar Das, the play was written and directed by Bhupen Goswami.
Both applauded the efforts of Bhupen Goswami and DRISHYAM. Oil India Ltd, Assam’s cultural department and Srimanta Sankerdeva Kalakshetra extended support to the programme.
The second day drama scheduled on Thursday was cancelled to mourn the demise of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and a new date will be announced soon.
Mantu Gogoi, Asim Krishna Bora, Nilakshi Deka, Dilip Das, Anil Haloi and Manabendra Kakati, among others, took part in the play on Kushal Konwar.
