GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two election rallies in Sipajhar and Bihpuria constituencies during his one day visit to the poll-bound state today.
According to the schedule, PM Modi will attend a public meeting at Bihpuria constituency at 2 pm. The Prime Minister will be campaigning in the constituency for party’s Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) candidate Amiya Kumar Bhuyan. He will be accompanied by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
PM Modi will then address another election rally at Sipajhar constituency at 5.20 pm. In the rally at Siphajhar he will be accompanied by Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.

PM Modi has been campaigning extensively in Assam for the BJP ever since the elections have been declared. The Prime Minister was on a day visit to the state on Saturday where he addressed an election rally at Chabua.
The Prime Minister is also expected to revisit Assam on April 1 and April 3. He is likely to address election rallies in Bijni on April 1 and Tamulpur on April 3.
Polling will be held in 47 seats in Assam on March 27 in the first phase, while 39 and 40 constituencies will go to polls on April 1 and April 6, respectively. Counting of votes will take place on May 2 along with the rest of the states going to polls later this month and April.
