GUWAHATI: After a huge earthquake of 6.7 magnitude jolted Assam this morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured all possible help to the citizens of the state from the Centre.
The prime minister took to Twitter to tweet: "Spoke to Assam CM Shri@sarbanandsonwal Ji regarding the earthquake in parts of the state. Assured all possible help from the Centre. I pray for the well-being of the people of Assam."

Besides PM Modi, Union hime minister Amit Shah also have spoken to CM Sonowal to assess the condition in different parts of the state after the earthquake.
"The central government stands firmly with our sisters and brothers of Assam. Praying for everyone’s safety and well-being," minister Shah Tweetd.
The twin earthquakes which struck Assam and Northeast have damaged many property and cracks developed on a number of buildings in many places. However, no report of loss of human life has been reported so far.
