PM Narendra Modi to visit Arunachal Pradesh on 9th Feb

Guwahati, February 8, 2019:

The people of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar are all set to welcome the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Saturday.

He will lay the foundation stone plagues of nine most desired projects in Arunachal Pradesh i.e. foundation stone of New Green Field Airport Holongi, Film Television Institute Jote, Seven 132KV Twenty Four 33 KV substations under Comprehensive Scheme for Strengthening of Transmission and Distribution System, and Sela Pass Tunnel and Approach Road. Inaugurate Retrofitted Airport at Texu, 50 Health and Wellness Centres Itanagar digitally, launch of DD 'Arun Prabha' Channel, a dedication of 110 MW Pare Hydro Electric Plant, 100 percent  Households Electrification.

Besides Arunachal Pradesh, the PM will also visit Assam and Tripura, and is scheduled to arrive at Assam this evening to lay several infrastructural projects and eventually address a public rally. Modi's visit to North East is mainly because of the protests in North Eastern states on Citizenship Amendment Bill.
