Police rescue 20 buffaloes in Assam’s Kokrajhar; 5 smugglers arrested

KOKRAJHAR: Kokrajhar police have rescued 20 buffalo heads and arrested five persons.

The Buffalos were rescued from hidden chambers of two container trucks in Bagribari area of Kokrajhar district yesterday.

Yesterday, a police team led by sub divisional police officer (SDPO) conducted an operation in and around Bagribari area acting on a tip-off and rescued the aforementioned buffalo.

“SHAMA KE PARVANE 20 buffaloes recovered frm hidden chambers of two container trucks, intercepted at Bagribari. 5 accused apprehended. The spl ops launched this afternoon was carried by SDPO PJR & TEAM,” the Kokrajhar police tweeted.
