Police Take Down ULFA-I flag in Guwahatiflag

Guwahati, November 28, 2018:

In a very shocking incident, a flag of the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) that was hoisted by some unknown persons in Guwahati's Borbari was taken down by the Assam Police.

The flag has been suspected to be hoisted by unknown miscreants in order to create tension among the locals. The locals of the area noticed the flag early in the morning and informed the police about the issue.

The police immediately reached the spot and took the flag down.

It is yet to be figured out if the flag was hoisted by the ULFA-I members or is it the handiwork of miscreants to create tension among the masses.

It may be mentioned that over the past few months the activities of militant outfit such as the ULFA-I has increased to a great extend. Several cases of abductions and ambushes related to militants are also being reported from multiple locations.
