Power supplied using bamboo poles in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar (Assam), September 7, 2018:

At a time Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making promises to supply well-equipped electricity transmission to the nook and corners of the country, in two villages of Kokrajhar, electricity has been installed using bamboo poles in houses.

In Manasar and Sutarpar villages, electric wires of 11,000 vaults run parallel near the ground level, thereby causing major safety concerns. The locals have expressed their resentment against the authorities for playing with their lives.
