Embodying a precedent of Institutional, social responsibility, Prag News and AM Television made an endeavour to observe Independence Day with a social commitment.
In sync with the idea of an independent nation with a committed citizenry, the media house has undertaken a task to power and partner a slew of campaigns voicing concerns about a myriad of new social challenges. In conjunction with the same, Prag news opened up the deck for a formal inauguration of the I-Day celebration, by launching the campaigns.
The campaigns are centered around the theme: Independence from Plastic, Independence from Gender Chauvinism and Independence from Poor Mental health.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by renowned psychiatrist Dr Jayanta Das and Maithali Hazarika, eminent inventor, waste assimilator Dr. Amarjyoti Kashyap, Assamese actor Kapil Bora and Actress Zerifa Wahid, Editor-in-Chief of Inside Northeast Afrida Hussain, renowned scriptwriter Abhishka Phukan along with Editor-in-Chief of Prag News Ajit Kumar Bhuyan, CMD of AM Television Pvt. Ltd. Sanjive Narain, Vice-President of AM Television, Dr. Akshata Narain and Kangkana Goswami.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Akshata Narain briefed on how plastic is degrading the environment and the campaign ‘Independence from Plastic’ will be initiated first within the campus of Prag News. Moreover, for the campaign ‘Independence from Poor Mental Health’ with the hashtag #PragPositive, they are conducting a show that says “Hey! It’s OK” that will give a platform for the people to speak. The campaign ‘Independence from Gender Chauvinism’ is to create awareness among people on gender equality, that are being now misinterpreted under the banner of “Feminism”.
