Following the attack on North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma and West Bengal’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Dilip Ghosh, the BJP Yuva Morcha members on Wednesday staged a protest and burned effigies of West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee at Maligaon in Guwahati.
The Yuva Morcha members protested against Mamata Banerjee shouting slogans like “Mamata Banerjee murdabaad” while at the same time also chanting slogans like “Himanta Biswa zindabad.”
The protesting members demanded immediate actions against the attackers who are allegedly affiliated with the Trinamool Congress party. Twenty-seven BJP party workers were allegedly hospitalized.
