PROTEST BY ATTSA AGAINST THE PLIGHT OF TEA LABOURERS IN TINSUKIA

The Tinsukia District Committee of Assam Tea Tribe Students Associate raised a protest today against the deplorable condition of the tea labourer in the District. They lodged the protest surrounding the district deputy commissioner office at Barguda area of Tinsukia district. The protesters raised their concern of the labourers which is downtrodden. Various labourers joined in too chanting their demands to get fulfilled

They demanded for the revival of tea gardens, to give government affiliation to the Primary schools of the tea tribes, to distribute necessary books to the students .They also urged for the revival of Sukanpokhi, Hebeda and Kachujan tea gardens of the district. A petition was submitted citing the demands to the Deputy Commissioner by the protestors.
