Protest over Badaruddin Ajmal abusing Journalist

Guwahati, December 27, 2018:

The journalist from all across Assam have burnt effigies and staged a state-wide protest against the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Chief Badaruddin Ajmal after threatening a journalist to kill him in front of the media at Hatsingimari Auditorium in Mancachar district.

Meanwhile, the United Television Media Association (UTMA) staged protest at Dispur Press Club premises in support of the journalist demanding that Ajmal should apologize in front of the media for such disrespectful act against the fourth pillar of the constitution in the same way he humiliated the journalist rather than seeking apology in social media through tweets.

The protestors further added that Ajmal fails to do so, they would stage protest in front of the AIUDF head office at Hatigaon in Guwahati and also urged the government to take immediate action against him.

Ajmal on Wednesday verbally abused a jounalist with unparliamentary words and yanked and threw the mic when asked about alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress. He categorically humiliated the journalist, pressurized the journalist to apologize in front of everyone and threaten that his thousands of supporter outside can end him.
