Margherita, September 23, 2019:

Tension prevailed at Margherita in Assam after a youth's dead body was recovered from a nearby river at Tinihuti under Margherita sub-division.

According to sources, the deceased, Shamim Hussain, aged about 15 years, was a resident of Russian Colony Tipong Colliery who was missing from his home since Sunday after his family had prohibited him from playing the online game, PUBG.

Shamim Hussain was so upset at this that he left his home on Sunday. Family members got in touch with Lekhapani Police Station, but police couldn't trace his whereabouts.

On Sunday night local residents of Tinihuti observed a dead body near the river, which it was confirmed as body of Shamim Hussain and later Police came took the dead body and send for post mortem.

It may be mentioned that the violent game PUBG has created turmoil in Assam's Margherita region, where many parents constantly complain of their wards being addicted to the game.

Moreover, few months back, Saptarshi Majumdar, a student of Class X hailing from Guwahati’s Kalapahar area has allegedly committed suicide after his parents scolded him for playing the game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).
