GUWAHATI: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi today called up his close aide and Assam MP Gaurav Gogoi to enquire about his father Tarun Gogoi's health.
The senior Gogoi was on November 21 admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Many of the leader's organs have stopped working on Monday morning, said reports in the media. Meanwhile, the team of Assam doctors looking after Gogoi is in consultation with doctors from AIIMS in New Delhi.
According to reports, dialysis was performed on Gogoi even as he struggled to pass urine after complaining of breathing troubles after contracting the COVID-19 virus. Gogoi is a heart patient due to which his recovery from the COVID -- despite testing negative for the pathogen -- has struggled to make a complete recovery from the respiratory ailment.
