Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary on Thursday lashed out at Kokrajhar Lok Sabha Naba Kumar Sarania for allegedly creating a divide among the people by dividing them along the lines of 'Bodo' and obodo (non-Bodo).

"He has always spoken of unrest, of fighting", he alleged, adding that he has always sought to diving the society along communal lines. "This is just the beginning. If people follow his path, Assam will be divided within 10-15 years", the Rajya Sabha MP added.

"We, the BPF party, we are working for the people of the entire region", Daimary said, adding that every community has benefitted from the developmental works carried out by the party.

Condemning Sarania's rhetoric dividing the Bodos and obodos (or non-Bodos), Daimary said, "Before the BTC was established, the Assamese people residing here did not have any special rights. If a Bodo was dying, an Assamese was also dying. If a Bodo was having to carry his cycle on his shoulder, non-Bodos were also doing the same. The societal condition of all communities Here, both Bodos and non-Bodos suffered equally."

Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha MP Sarania has announced that he will float a new party to contest the upcoming BTAD elections, with the aim of winning 35 of the 40 seats.
