The streets of Rangia witnessed the harmony of different colorful tribes as a part of the cultural rally organized by Rangia College as part of their celebrations of their ‘college week’. The rally was addressed by different traditional tribal community people.
The traditional tribal community dresses were showcased at the event. The students of the college also held aloft a banner reading "say no to politics", perhaps in reaction to the volatile political atmosphere in the state right now.
The rally also witnessed the traditions of the indigenous Assamese community. The people of Rangia town observed the colorful rally and enjoyed the rich and vibrant cultural elements of the various indigenous communities of Assam.
It is to be mentioned that the Rangia college, which was founded in 1963, is one of the premier institutes of higher education on the North bank of the Brahmaputra.
